I watched the programme “What Jesus Would Really Do?” on CNN last night. I thought it was very interesting. It was a discussion on what the christians of today are focusing on. Mainly homosexuality and abortion. It also took a look at the war among the christians with their different faiths and belief.
I must say that I believe that we as Christians need to start really examining our lives. We are suppose to be the ’salt of the earth’. How can we add flavour to this world when our churches are crumbling because of scandal. Our marriages are failing. We spend so much time focusing on what other faiths are doing that we can’t see the damage we ourselves are causing.
Jesus spent alof of his time on earth meeting the needs of people. He stated clearly that He came to save that which was lost. For too long we have been missing the mark of what God had commission us to do.
I agree totally with Mr. Roland Martin, the moderator of the programme on CNN. We need to stop asking people what would Jesus do, the biggest question of all should be what am I doing to make a difference!
